GO GO GO! This is the way I feel most of time and it seems like my life is on constant overdrive. I have to be here at this time, get this done by that date, and still try and have time to rest. Don't get me wrong I love my life and all the things I do but sometimes it gets very overwhelming to say the least! Sometimes it is best just to have some me time! As a leader seeking and desiring to further the kingdom of God I sometimes find myself in this position of just needing some rest. I love to lead worship I know that is exactly what God has called me to do, but sometimes I just need to rest. These past couple of Sundays myself and some of my closest friends have been on a Worship Tour. Some people may call it church hopping but we are just on tour seeing how different congregations present the gospel. This has been one of the most refreshing things I have ever done in my Christian walk. It has been awesome to go to morning service and just have an all out worship encounter with God! It felt great just to sit back and let God love on me by pouring out his spirit! Don’t get me wrong there is nothing like being on the platform bringing/leading people in worship but we all need to be feed and last Sunday was my time. The worship tour stopped last Sunday at The Vineyard Church in Campbellsville, KY and the Holy Ghost fell on that place. They know how to usher in the presence of the Lord through song. Wow! It was honestly some of the most anointed worship I have ever been in! Benson looked at me and said that could be addicting and he was absolutely right! There was one point in the worship service where I was in all out worship to our king praising him and thanking him for all he does in my life. Then at one point I had my palms turned over, my hands lifted, arms outstretched and I couldn't put them down. Even when I tried God spoke into my spirit just let me love on you. It was the most amazing therapy session I could have ever asked for! There is nothing better than letting the spirit of the Lord just dwell on you and I needed every second of that. What I am trying to say through this blog is never get so busy feeding that you never get feed. It's just like the story of Mary and Martha with Jesus. Martha was too busy worried about taking care of stuff but Mary just wanted to rest at the feet of Jesus and let him feed her his word. Worship leaders, pastors, deacons, FCA Huddle Leaders, Sunday School Teachers, Christians all over the world, whoever you are make sure you get FED! It is so important as a leader not to get BURNT Out. More importantly as a follower of Christ! In order to keep worship fresh and our personal walks with the Lord we have to be fresh and forever be seeking God's fresh oil!
